Savanna Energy’s recent exponential growth has created a shortage in their Canadian workforce operations.
In response to these shortages, Savanna has turned to its thriving partnership with CCIS Oil and Gas Training Programs. Based on the caliber and retention rate of employees hired through CCIS programs, Savanna chose to expand its relationship with CCIS Oil and Gas Training Programs in the fall of 2010.
At Savanna’s request, CCIS Oil and Gas Training Programs have developed and implemented a customized Well Servicing Training Program targeting new Canadians and Canadian Aboriginals. This groundbreaking initiative marks a significant step where the private sector has been directly involved with an immigrant-serving agency in providing customized training for the new Canadian community.
Other major Oil and Gas companies have expressed interest in partnering with CCIS Oil and Gas Training Programs to create similar customized joint-venture training solutions to address their workforce needs.
A lack of appropriately trained workers continue to plague many organizations here in Alberta. CCIS helps to select and train workers who will fit the continuing needs of the oil, gas, and energy industry. We are focused on constantly expanding our training programs to meet the needs of industry and our corporate partners. These companies participate in our selection process and contribute their expertise through guest speaking and on site tours.
